The counterpoint of mass and void is, I believe, crucial and is often what makes the difference between a garden that satisfies and one that does not.<br /><br />I am interested in your mentioning the overhead plane. In my experience most people are too busy concentrating on what is going on at ground level and fail to look up to see what pictures are being created against the sky.<br /><br />I have really enjoyed and learnt from this posting.
